Congratulations on Two Beautiful Potpourri Recitals!

On Sunday, October 30, ten students from the Alison S. Barr Music Associates studio played on two South Shore Music Teachers Association “Potpourri Recitals,” gathering great praise and compliments. In all, about thirty students representing six teachers participated and the students all took home “goodie bags.” The recital was held at First Parish Scituate. Many students came in costume! Thanks to all who performed:

Composition Symposium a Huge Success!

We gathered on Sunday, October 16, 2022, from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. at the studio, sharing our compositions or arrangements, our inspirations and how we like to work on our pieces.

Participating were: Eliza Mulder, David Won Jr., Clayton Mulder, Naomi Mulder, Jim Gish, Liam Anderson and Micah Mulder. An audience of friends and family supported the performers.

Music of the Americas – SSMTA Recital!


The students below participated beautifully in a South Shore Music Teachers Association “Music of the Americas” recital on Sunday, March 13.  Now that things are starting to be back in-person again, there will be more of these special opportunities coming up for others!
