I am thrilled to start lessons this fall.  The summer, though always rich and full, is just not the same for me without the opportunity to see all of you on a regular basis.  The learning, the laughs, your energy, the challenges you present with your intelligence and eagerness to learn — those all stimulate me SO much!!!  The THEMES for this year of study are:

Several projects are in store throughout the year:
“The Keys and Me” Bulletin Board Project
Guided Sight Reading through Piano Maestro Computer Program and Safari Flashcards
Share Your Music Project
Informal Ensemble Recital (Date and place TBA)
Improvisation Extravaganza

And, of course, we will continue to have our Creative Practicing Blog on a weekly basis (see pulldown menu above) Please plan o read the blog BEFORE you come in for your lesson and be ready to discuss the question posed at the end. Thanks!

So much in store – fasten your seat belts for a wild musical journey!

I was thrilled to honor our graduating seniors: (top to bottom) Annalise Patzer, Alaina Patzer and Aidan Roy, at the June 9th Spring Recital.  Each students received a bell from my collection, which was started years ago to honor my High School piano teacher, Alexandra Jaskolski.  The students also receive music, a small cash gift and a letter about our years together.  I will miss you three SO much!

The students below performed wonderfully — with expression and command!  So proud of you all – keep practicing until I see you next!

Once in a while, a student writes a tribute that is worth sharing with the entire studio community.  I am humble and proud to post such a tribute, written by former student, Michelle Murphy of Hanover, who is now attending Bridgewater State University and studying Elementary Education.  I am honored that I have made a positive difference in Michelle’s life and hope that I continue to have this same influence on the other wonderful students I teach every day!  Thanks, Michelle!!!
