Our Theme for the Year – Find Your Best Expression!

At Alison S. Barr Music Associates, we value each and every student as a completely unique individual. The curriculum is custom-tailored for each child or adult’s learning style, pace, strengths and interests, while still striving to promote all the tenets of mastery at the piano. This year, we’ll focus on helping students identify what makes them unique and how that uniqueness comes out in musical expression. This means that repertoire will be chosen with student input in mind. Students will be encouraged to dig deep inside themselves to express their own experience and emotions.

We’ll also continue “Music for Good,” the social action component of our curriculum, where students are asked to offer their music to help brighten and improve their community and the people in it!
